Reader matter:

I had gotten some a crush on a colleague. We spoke together about obtaining lunch. Unfortunately, both of us had differing times on our schedule, and I was more than an hour later.

A cohook up with older womenle weeks later on, she invited me personally as well as 2 some other men from the workplace out to beverages along with her (and her buddies). I, unfortuitously, had to drop as a result of a small business conference.

I quickly asked this lady out over beverages and she responded, “I’m going to the city on the weekend if not i might completely seize drinks.”

I feel like everything is going at a rather friendly pace, but I’m scared I’ve appeared distant/busy/occupied, that’s maybe not my personal intent.

Any tips?

Rachel Dack’s Solution:

Hey John,

Seems like a regrettable cycle of activities where you held missing both and weren’t available at once, but have no worries. It is possible to absolutely show the woman you have an interest through an effort now.

Resist conquering yourself upwards for almost any missed options. Show the girl you are interested and care by wanting to put something different regarding schedule and continuing to speak with her.

I also advise not creating a big deal of the past, but alternatively concentrate on keeping the connection planning today’s. The wish is that you could resolidify everything believe toward her and let the union develop naturally after that makes it obvious you will do need to see the woman outside work.

If you are attentive, articulate and available with time and fuel, she’s going to probably get on.

Be careful,

Rachel
